Bio
PattyPattch cosplay originally hails from a small town in the Niagara Region of Ontario Canada. In 2002 their first convention they went to was Anime North in Toronto. This is where they discovered cosplay. After which they managed to convince a few of their friends and a cousin to join them not only in a group, but in a masquerade performance at the CN anime convention.
It was a fabulous time of trying to make boot covers, thrifting fabrics and making wigs from yarn, because frankly it was a different time.
No regrets! And they will proudly show off the only photo they have where they are beaming from ear to ear.
Of course these novices didn't win anything, but that never curbed the fun of the show and craftsmanship.
Over the two decades PattyPattch has received awards for both their performances and craftsmanship in masquerades in Canada, USA and New Zealand.
They received two scholarships for sewing, graduating from Sheridan college for Technical Theatre. Successfully ran a tailoring business and now teaches sewing and is the assistant head coordinator for panels at Anime North.
They love to talk about their craft and have held panels and workshops sharing their vast knowledge with others at conventions.
